About the White Hart?
We are a pub in the village of Alton that was refurbished in 2007 to give a comfortable but modern twist. We offer affordable accommodation and are approximately 1 mile from Alton Towers.
There is both a pool and darts room, we also have Sky Sports available in the bar and lounge area. We have a large beer garden at the rear of the pub with a children's play area. A warm welcome is always guaranteed and for the real ale drinkers there is Marston's Pedigree as well as occasional guest beers.
Eating In?
We specialise in pizzas hand made to order and cooked in a stone based wood burning oven. A selection of homemade pasta and rice dishes, salads and side orders are also available. We also hold periodic barbeques throughout the summer season.
Alton Itself
The village of Alton is situated in the heart of Staffordshire home to some of the most scenic countryside.
There are beautiful woodland walks along the Churnet Valley and many places to visit. You can visit the local market towns of Cheadle, Uttoxeter or Ashbourne or shop in the Potteries Centre in Stoke on Trent.
